MILKYEYES

While looking at different hand drawn animation pieces i came across a short animation by Donato Sansone who also uses the screen name/nick name MILKYEYES. It jumped out me amongst the rest because it is basically all the different frames drawn out onto a large sheet of paper covering the floor and it is animated as he moves the sections of paper similar to that of a flip book. (It was described as a painted stop motion by a fan who has commented under the video). I found MILKYEYES on Vimeo and i had a look at some of the other work and there is a wide variety of different things from graphics to live action pieces but all have a sort of surreal/dark feel to them which seems to be Sansone's signature mise-en-scene. In this particular animation the majority of scenes are about violence like cutting people in half and fighting with each other. But what i especially liked about the piece is it reminded me of Manipulation by Daniel Grieves as there is the use of human and animation interaction.
